  • What time is check-in?
    Check-in is available between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
    What should I do if I arrive after 6:00 PM?
    If you expect to arrive later than 6:00 PM, please contact us in advance at +81-577-32-2890 or through the chat feature on Booking.com.
    What time is check-out?
    Check-out is at 10:00 AM.
    Is late check-out available?
    Yes, until 12:00 PM. The fee is 1,500 JPY per hour, up to a maximum of 2 hours.
    Is early check-in available?
    It depends on room availability. Please contact us in advance by phone.
    When do cancellation fees apply?
    Our cancellation policy is as follows:
    • Same day: 100% of room charge
    • No-show: 100% of room charge
    Do you have high season rates?
    Yes, high season rates apply on the following dates:
    • Takayama Spring Festival: April 14–15
    • Golden Week: April 28–May 5
    • Obon: August 11–15
    • Takayama Autumn Festival: October 9–10
    • etc.
    Can I change the number of guests on the day of my stay?
    Changes on the day are not possible. Please contact us by phone at least 3 days before your stay to make any changes.
    What happens if the number of guests exceeds the room capacity?
    Please ensure that the number of guests does not exceed the maximum room capacity.
    Are there charges for children?
    Children up to 3 years old stay for free. From 4 years old, the adult rate applies.
    Can I modify my reservation?

    Can I use a credit card?
    We accept VISA, JCB, Mastercard, Diners Club, DISCOVER, and AMERICAN EXPRESS.
  • Is there staff on-site at the inn?
    Yes, our staff are on-site at the inn.
    Is smoking allowed?
    Our inn is completely non-smoking. The use of e-cigarettes is also prohibited. A designated smoking area is available outside.
    Can I bring food and cook at the inn?
    The Family Room “BAMBOO” is equipped with a mini kitchen, allowing you to cook. In addition, the shared kitchen on the 2nd floor lounge has an electric stove, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, cutting board, knife, dishes, and cutlery for your use. A large shared refrigerator is also available for your convenience.
    Can I do laundry at the inn?
    On the west side of the 1st floor, there is a coin laundry available for guests and a dryer.
    Laundry detergent is sold at the front desk upon request.
  • Is it possible to store luggage before check-in?
    We have a luggage storage area available behind the shoe shelves, where guests may leave their belongings by themselves.
    Please note that luggage is stored at your own responsibility. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or mix-up of belongings.
    Is parking available?
    Yes. “Rikishaw Inn” has a private parking lot with space for 3 vehicles. Parking is available for ¥1,000 per vehicle per night. If you would like to use the parking lot, please request it when making your reservation. If the parking lot is full, please use a nearby paid parking facility.
    Are meals provided?
    No, meals are not provided at the inn. However, there are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby (FamilyMart Satou, Daily Yamazaki), as well as a variety of restaurants. If you need recommendations, please ask our staff.
    Is Wi-Fi available at the inn?
    Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the inn, including guest rooms.
